Christina Sorbara Joins SickKids Campaign Cabinet
November 28, 2017
Our very own Christina Sorbara, VP of Corporate Knowledge is helping to transform health care in Canada by joining the SickKids VS Limits Campaign Cabinet. The largest in Canadian health care history, the project aims to raise $1.3 billion.
The goal of the SickKids VS Limits Campaign is to rebuild the hospital’s campus to meet the growing needs of Canadian children and their families. Funds will be used to build a new patient care centre, provide continuing support for cutting-edge pediatric research and establish partnerships for better patient care. Christina joins 67 other business and community leaders on the Campaign Cabinet. Working in a volunteer capacity, the Cabinet will lead the way in helping SickKids achieve its historic goal.
For Christina, being a Cabinet member is an opportunity to give back to the community and educate others about the need to support one of Canada’s most transformative health care campaigns. Describing her commitment to the campaign, she notes that “we have a capacity to give and for my family there is a responsibility associated with that.” As a long-time supporter of SickKids, through her family’s volunteer activities and The Sam Sorbara Charitable Foundation, Christina looks forward to helping the hospital change the future of children’s health.
