An Inspiring Story for International Women’s Day

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, here is an inspiring Sorbara family story:

In 1952, Grace Sorbara and Violet Simonetta became the founding members of the Canadian Italian Business Association – Ladies’ Auxiliary.
As of 2024, the organization has a 72-year history, making it one of the longest-standing women’s groups in Canada. It predates International Women’s Day, which began in 1975, by 23 years.
